Sad News
When I logged into blogger tonight, there was a comment awaiting moderation on the post I wrote about my favorite new earrings with sad news. Mieko Takahashi, the sweet and talented designer behind Shizen Designs, passed away at the end of April from ovarian cancer. Her sister-in-law wrote that my earrings were one of the last pieces Mieko made! My heart goes out to her family. I feel like the world has lost such a kind and creative spirit, and I know Mieko will be missed by all of us in the Etsy community.

Very sad...Her work is lovely. Glad you get to keep a piece of her with you.
