Cute Toadstool Tutorial

I found a tutorial for making these ridiculously cute toadstool ornaments out of old plastic spools on knick knacks & ric rac by Hannah.


I don't have any of the type of spools she used, but you could probably use something else...any suggestions?

    Those are adorable, but I'm stumped as to what to use instead of spools because I don't have any either. The crafts store probably has a good substitute but I thought the beauty of this project is in repurposing. My kids recently broke a doorstopper and it has the same shape but thankfully they only broke one!
