SOMEONE has one of those porcelain trees! I have one of those, too! It was one that my great grandma made (out of a mold, but still, she made it). I saw a HUGE one at a vintage marketplace, and the sucker was probably 20" tall, at least. The guy was only charging $25 for it, too! I don't doubt that someone bought it by the end of the day. Anyway, thank you so much for your kind, personal, thoughtful comment. We were able to get back to Iowa just fine, and had a wonderful time there. Too short a visit, as always, but very well worth it. We're now back in Indy, enjoying an adult snow day. (Blizzard, ahoy!) I hope that you had a wonderful, merry Christmas, and were able to squeeze in some Skype time with everyone that you love.
My mom has that same ceramic tree in the background! She doesn't put it out anymore, and I'm thinking about asking her if I can just have it.
Santa was on the ball this year. I actually think he reads my blog, because I got a large number of things I mentioned in my wish list... :-) I hope you and Peter had a nice holiday!
