Since I was home much of the weekend not feeling great, I decided to open all those folders on my computer gathering cobwebs. I found lots of things I had the best intentions of blogging about, but of course, never did. So today I'm dusting off a photo of an amazing sculpture by Nick Savvas that reminds me of spirograph drawings, and I'm also including a bunch of spirograph-inspired finds for good measure. (It probably goes without saying that I'd love to plunk that sculpture right down in the middle of my living room.)

Also, check out this great commercial from the 1960s...makes me feel a little nostalgic even though this was before my time.
I don't know what that kid is doing with his mouth at the beginning. This makes me want to see if my parents still have my old spirograph set somewhere in the house. I can foresee hours of blissful wasted time in my future. :)
YES. I used to love spirographs! Well, I guess technically I still would if I ever had one again. Maybe I should keep an eye out at estate sales...
ReplyDeleteThe teensy pitcher is my favorite. :-) Hope you're feeling better!

That sculpture is amazing. I wanted a Spirograph SO badly when I was little. For some reason I never got one though. I wonder if you can still find them on eBay?
ReplyDeleteWell that's one of the best parts of having a kid! You now have a legit excuse to buy all the toys you always wanted...not that anyone needs an excuse to buy fun things. :)
DeleteAnd I'm sure you can find them on ebay, probably Etsy too.
Love that sculpture! Some great finds too.
ReplyDeleteJust back from my holidays, I missed your blog :)
Thanks, Mirta! Hope you had a good holiday. xo
DeleteI came across a spirograph a couple of weeks ago and I needed to take it with me, I still need to use it. I like all of your picks. I love the table, chair and bench underneath the clock.
ReplyDeleteThese are all super cool and unique finds! I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteSpirographs are so fun! And what great finds too! Love that clock!
ReplyDeleteLove all of the pictures. I love the spiral necklaces. So colorful..
