Bees!

I haven't been making too many brooches lately, but I had a request through my Etsy shop to make a bee brooch, and I couldn't say no! I love bees and frankly couldn't believe I've never made a bee brooch before. I do have a bee notebook in the shop already that's really cute, if I do say so myself, but also very pink. I'm thinking I might make another bee notebook that's a little less girly. It will still be cute, though...nothing I can do about that. ;)

I waited pretty late in the day to take these photos, but that's the beauty of summer light and long days...they didn't turn out half bad! I'll be sad when the days get shorter, and I can't procrastinate taking/editing photos as long haha.

What have you been making lately?

  3. That's super cute, bees deserve their own brooch, I always love sitting on the balcony and watching the bees do their thing.
I haven't been making a lot of things lately, but I got in some new kind of paper, in a lovely raspberry kind of pink. I would love to start making things out of that!

    1. Thanks, Marieken! There's nothing like new supplies to get you motivated and inspired again. Would love to see what you make! :)

  4. Squeee! It's so cute! I hear you about the photo taking, too. Winter is the worst because if I don't get pictures done by noon, the sun is on the wrong side of the house and everything looks awful. Haha.

    1. Thanks, Paige! Yep, it's definitely better here than it used to be in various apartments (ah, the luxury of having windows on more than one wall!) but it's still hard in the winter when it's so dark out. Here's to enjoying summer days as long as they last! :)
